Seymour is located on the south end of Goulburn Valley in Victoria, Australia. Seymour is 104km to the north of Melbourne. Its location offers a breathtaking view. Wine by Sam

Wine by Sam started in 2012 by a husband and wife, Sam Plunkett and Bron Dunwoodie. Sam Plunkett had been making wine in Australia for over 25 years before starting the company. Not only do they make delicious wine, but they are also passionate about educating people about the process of winemaking. You can get to experience the whole winemaking process. The cellar is open Fridays to Sundays between 10 am and 4 pm.

Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Walk

The Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Walk is a memorial dedicated to the Australian servicemen and women who served the state in the Vietnam War. It got opened in March 2013. It contains 106 panels that display the history of the Australian Defence Force. The wall displays over sixty-thousand names of the Australian personnel and eleven names of the Service Dogs who fought in the war. It is a historical place.

Seymour Bushland Park

The military initially used the Seymour Bushland Park for military training between 1910 and 1960. It was part of Kitchener Military Park. It was converted to a reserve in 1978. The natural environment has been able to regenerate. Wildflowers and Orchids have regrown in reserve. It is a beautiful place to visit in the spring. It is located at the Goulburn Valley Highway in Seymour.

The Australian Light Horse Memorial Park

The Australian Light Horse Memorial Park is a 150-hectare land that used to be a part of Victoria’s largest Army bases. Anzac Hill is the highest point in the park. From the top of the hill, you can get a 360-degree view of the surrounding area. It is a peaceful and quiet place. It is a great place to spend the day with your family. You can take a hike to the top of the hill to take in the breathtaking view.

Old Black Train

The black train area is a landmark in Seymour, and it has been so for generations. The old steam locomotive has been on the land since. It was renovated in 1996 by Mitchell Shire Council. It contains beautiful gardens, walk-paths, seating areas, and a barbeque area. There is a well-kept playground for children and food outlets. The children can hop into the train and play around with the handles. 

Other fun activities include the Seymour Bushland Park, Goulburn Park, Seymour Visitors Information Centre, Seymour Town trail, Rotary Park and the Blue Tounge Berries, etc.
